about

The melody in this song was sung by Vic to his newborn child to get him to sleep, hence the title. It always worked, but it was never supposed to be a Dawn of Oblivion song.
While recording Mephisto's Appealing we wondered if we could add one more song to the album. Vic wrote some lyrics about the father he never had the opportunity to meet and a DOO Lullaby was created.

lyrics

Lyrics:

An open sea raves as a memory remains
A carcass on the beach won't tell no tales
Why should I dare?
Why should I even care?
When destiny marks our lives
The blood in the family reveals

CHORUS:
And now the thunder breaks my heart apart
My spirit remains for the love of God?
And as we walk together side by side in desperate lives
Wonders of joy, what's the reason to live?

Why did you leave?
Can you remember me?
Don't you wonder how, how I am today?
No matter how hard I try to figure out why
There's no point down the wire
We're bound to our call

CHORUS

Gone, but you are gone from everyone
And I'm alone
Should I move on?
Where is my home?
I hear a call...
Cold, cold from the sky it opens wide
In the black hole between the clouds
I see your face
Where is my home?
I see the face of my father...
